Universal Non Woven was established within the group during 1999. Extensive research was done and equipment acquired both locally and internationally to enable Universal Non Woven to manufacture a range of non woven products under such brand names as Unilay , to service these needs of both domestic and manufacturing requirements. Many in-house innovations and with an emphasis on quality and product development, has enabled universal non woven to put a range of products onto the market which have been in continuous demand since the company's inception.
The main activities of universal non woven is the manufacture of non woven high quality felts, utilizing original and recycled textile fibre. The standard process of cutting, tearing, carding and needle
punching has been complimented by equipment manufactured or modified within the company's engineering facilities.
Universal non woven's product range include underlay (Unilay) mattress pads ,domestic and commercial blankets (blankets for packing and relief use) along with various products for use in such applications as upholstery etc.
Whilst universal non woven is still considered to be the infant company within the group it is the object of continuous development and controlled expansion is envisaged.
